Every gaming keyboard is customizable. The Logitech G513 is no exception. While you can connect it to your PC and start using it right away, you can’t enjoy the features of the keyboard to the fullest that way.
You need the Logitech G513 software. Here, we will show you how to set up the keyboard’s lighting using the Logitech G Hub.
Getting Started
First and foremost is, of course, to download and install the Logitech G Hub. It is the official software for Logitech peripherals. C# in visual studio code.
Without this software, you won’t be able to set up the lighting. In case you don’t have this software yet, just go to Logitech’s website and download the G Hub from there.
How to Change Light Preset
To change the light preset, open the Logitech G513 software and do the following:
A. On the main screen, choose the G513 keyboard. Then, click the LightSync tab. The tab is on the top left sidebar
B. Within the LightSync tab, you can turn the backlight, use the Freestyle mode to set up the keys to your liking, or use Animations for unique light shows
C. Select any existing presets on the Presets “Effects” menu
Create Your Own Preset
Want your preset to be more fun? Create your own, then. Here’s how to:
A. Go to the LightSync Tab and select Freestyle
B. Take a look at the sidebar. You should see various options which provide you with Color Brush feature, allowing you to paint the keys and the Quick Color, which highlights the keys automatically
C. Use the Animations tab to add lighting animation
D. Use the Effect drop-down menu to select and save the effects
Share Your Preset with the Community
Not only can you make a preset of your own, but you can also share it. Here’s how to share your preset with the community:
A. Make sure that you are logged into your Logitech account
B. Click the small share button in the Animations tab
C. A pop-up should appear. Here you can give your preset a name, add tags for it as well as a description
D. Go to the bottom of the window and click Submit and wait for approval via email
